We understand the challenges most homeowners have when trying to save money when heating and cooling your home because we are also homeowners like you. Our advantage might be that we have been in more attics than most people would dream of being. Personally, it has been challenge for me to properly insulate my pull down stairs in my own home. The rivets attaching the fold up ladder would always drip with condensation in the winter months. I tried a couple a few things to stop the draft leak into the attic and try to insulate that opening. Nothing ever worked and my wife was always complaining to me about it.
Finally, I came up with a solution that not only provides a very hi R-value options, but is also a Do it your self KIT that comes with everything you need to install it in minutes. With the Thermal Caps, you don’t have to restructure or build up the attic floor or attic truss’s in the attic to install the Thermal Cap. We designed it purposely with a 12” clearance inside the Cap to allow you to make any adjustments to the panels to allow it to fit snug in your attic.
Here is what I mean… not all attics have floors up there. There can be 2x4 truss bracing or other bracing material. If you don’t have a floor, don’t worry. This installs without any type of floor in the attic. (see pictures) you can simple notch the EPS rigid board panels around any truss bracing. You can pull the Thermal Cap down snug into the opening on your way down the stairs and you're done. It is as easy as 1,2,3.
